Mark Sanford Censured By His Own Party

Word has come this morning that the Republican party in South Carolina has voted to censure Mark Sanford for his recent actions, but did not call on the governor of that state to resign. A censure is a formal statement of reprimand for wrongdoing while in public office, but it holds no official punishment other than the obvious disgrace it brings to the person it is issued to.

According to CNN, Gov. Sanford says he will work at trying to gain back the trust and respect of his own party. I think if I were him, I would start with earning the trust of my wife and family back first before moving on to his political allies. But maybe that's just me...
