US 65 To Be Widened To Six Lanes

The city of Springfield is growing and so is the amount of traffic clogging US 65. As a result, starting in September, MODOT will begin widening the highway to six lanes from I-44 to the James River Expressway Interchange. The work should finish up some time next year. This is in addition to the changes/upgrades being made to the 65/60 interchange and the 1-44/Glenstone exit ramps.
