The largest crane in the nation collapsed at a Houston refinery today, killing 4 workers and injuring 6 others. Officials were not sure if the workers were on the crane or under it when it fell over. The crane which belonged to Deep South Crane & Rigging, had been brought in to remove drums from inside a coking unit, but was not scheduled to work on Friday. Full Story...

this story is boring and just like the sharks a few years ago everyone starts talking about crane collapses like they are something new or something. find something better to talk about on your blog.
How many dead and injured does it take to make it interesting?
Terry: Thanks for your post and your opinion. While you may find this story boring, I doubt the family's of those that lost their lives today would feel the same.
I do find the story and the familys of the people who died do want to know but they are not reading your blog and I am. other stuff you have written is good but not this.
Terry, as someone who covers the media I think there is a big difference between someone covering a shark attack and a crane collapse. What the media often fails to do, however, is extend this story out and show how the working conditions themselves are the problem and often lead to the issues that lead to accidents like these.
Oh, and by the way, if you don't like the story, don't read it. If you don't like the blog, don't visit it.
I appreciate everyone's comments and opinions. That's why my blog is named Show-Me Opinions and just like I stated in an earlier blog post "sometimes you get more than you bargined for."
