The search continues this morning for Corey Smith, a Detroit Lions free-agent defensive end, and Marquis Cooper, an Oakland Raiders linebacker who were reported missing on Sunday. Will Bleakley and Nick Schuyler, both former University of South Florida players, were also aboard.
The four boaters left Clearwater Pass on Saturday to go fishing. As the day progressed the weather began to deteriorate . The four boaters were reported missing when they did not return as scheduled. The Coast Guard stepped up the search over night, but the weather has made it difficult as seas have been reaching 14-feet and winds have been estimated at 30 miles per hour.
The Coast Guard will give an update at 11am this morning.
